The Pineal Gland sits at the heart of the brain. Research into this gland has been at best intermittent. The purpose for the gland is little known but much speculated. The gland naturally secretes a hormone known as Dimethyltryptamine. Some believe this to be nothing more than a neurotoxin, whilst others believe it to be nothing short of a spirit molecule.

“What are you doing for others?”

N,N-Dimethyltryptamine (DMT or N,N-DMT) is a compound of the tryptamine family. Its presence is widespread throughout the plant kingdom.[3][4] DMT occurs in trace amounts in mammals, including humans, where it putatively functions as a trace amine neurotransmitter/neuromodulator.[5] It is originally derived from the essential amino acid tryptophan and ultimately produced by the enzyme INMT during normal metabolism.[6] The significance of its widespread natural presence remains undetermined. DMT is structurally analogous to the neurotransmitter serotonin (5-HT) and the hormone melatonin, and furthermore functionally analogous to other psychedelic tryptamines, such as 5-MeO-DMT, bufotenin, psilocin, and psilocybin.

So what of this gland and its hormone production, why is it so interesting and, how come its not known in popular media. The fact that the hormone is a powerful hallucinogenic could lend itself to many films etc…..

The Pineal Gland sits within a central location within the brain

A close up of the Gland itself

Because of its PINE CONE shape, the pineal gland is often symbolized by a pine cone.

In fact, many religions and mystical traditions around the world reference the pineal gland through the pine cone symbolism: the staff of the Egyptian god Osiris has two intertwining cobras meeting at the pine cone (Kundalini energy rising up to the Third Eye), also the staff of the pope also features a cone.

Meditation can stimulate the Pineal Gland, its often refereed to as the Third Eye.

The pineal gland accumulates fluoride, so it has the highest concentration of fluoride in the human body, and that is the primary cause of the pineal gland calcification.

Fluoride has been dubbed as one of the most common factors restriction awareness and connection of this gland for this reason. Until recently fluoride was used in Rat Poison.

Fluoride was heavily used in the concentration camps in Germany during WW2 as it can make on docile.

The Pineal Gland also secretes Melatonin and Serotonin hormones which are are responsible for sleep or meditative states, and emotional states of well-being, bliss and euphoria. So this gland has an important part to play in everyone's daily lives.

This organ is often described as ones spiritual vision apparatus, a bridge between two worlds – the physical and metaphysical. It allows you to have mystical and lucid dream experiences that are essential to your spiritual evolution.

They are the messages from the Soul, and the pineal gland has been said to be  the antenna designed to receive them.

Dreams are truly insightful and understanding them  can help understand our most being.

Having said this some have also declared DMT as a dangerous neuro-toxin and say its the cause of many if not all psychotic episodes. It certainly certainly challenge ones world view of reality and reality concepts, but does that make it a bad thing… well I guess its down once again to personal perception. It if helps someone as apposed to causing stress and confusion whats the big deal?

As with a lot of my themes, no conclusive conclusion can be applied because the Pineal Gland is simply something we do not understand enough. A major influential part of our brain that influences reality itself!
